Orientation

Our centre provides a personal orientation process for each family enabling parents to discuss any issues relating to their child in private. The Director or Head Teacher will speak with parents/guardians about how the centre operates, programming, checklists, fees, sleep- time, daily routines, child care benefit, child care tax rebate, immunisation and many other issues.

The Director will invite parents to come and spend some time at the centre with their child prior to starting. The child will be able to join in the activities and routine of the centre, with the comfort of having their parent/s with them.

Parents are encouraged to stay as long as they feel is necessary in order to reassure their child.

The daily timetable and program will be discussed with the parents so as they can speak with their child about what to expect at kindy.

Each year in November, an Orientation morning is held, parents are able to stay with their child and join in the planned activities and staff are available to speak with parents and aswer questions.

New parents are also advised of up-coming entertainment, which they are invited to bring their children to prior to commencing at the centre.
